Writer's picture: Sonia Jaramillo, DHHPSonia Jaramillo, DHHP

We use homeopathic medicines as well as lifestyle adjustments. The aim is to keep it simple and effective.  A little help as soon as you feel symptoms or before goes far.

  1. Prevention Medicine:

    • Request your flu homeopathic immunization kit with remedies such as Influenzinum (latest strains), Anas barbariae, Thymuline (immunity) plus.

    • Lifestyle Adjustments: Prioritize rest, hydration, a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, low sugar and regular exercise.

    • Supplements: Vit C and E, B complex (stress), beta carotene in red/orange fruits/veggies (vit A precursor ), zinc, garlic for immunity. Botanicals like Astragalus, Elderberry (Sambucus nigra), Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis).

  2. Treatment – once you fall ill, consider:

    • Homeopathy: with remedies specific to your symptoms as no two colds are the same. Colds/flus change quickly, the sooner you seek help, the better but even if the cold has progressed, we can help.

    • Natural Remedies: hot baths w Epson salts, bromelain (enzyme) for inflammation and to thin mucus, vegetable or chicken broth, herbal teas (ginger/lemon/honey, chamomile for nausea, slippery elm for cough)

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a system of natural medicine developed by German physician Samuel Hahnemann in the late 18th century. It is based on two key principles:

  1. Like Cures Like (Similia Similibus Curentur): a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person can, when highly diluted, be used to treat similar symptoms in a sick person.

  2. Law of Minimum Dose: the lower the dose of the medication, the greater its effect. Remedies are diluted many times, sometimes to the point where no molecules of the original substance remain except for the energetic blueprint of the substance.

Characteristics of Homeopathy:

  • Remedies: Made from plant, mineral, or animal substances and prepared through a process of repeated dilution and vigorous shaking (known as "potentization").

  • Individualized Treatment: Remedies are tailored to a client’s specific physical, mental and emotional symptom picture. Family and personal history are taken into account especially in chronic conditions.

  • Holistic Approach: Focuses on treating not the disease but the person having the disease.

Quote of the Day

“To live is so startling…  It leaves little time for anything else.”
